BARTHELEMY GROSSMANN
(Switzerland, 1981-)
Bathélémy Grossmann was born in Geneva in 1981. At the age of 15 he has left shool and went to Paris with objective of studying cinematography. Working today between Los Angeles, Paris and Geneva as screenwriter, director and actor, his work in art is a continuation of his cinematographic work which evolves around the themes of social rise, money, success. His pictorial and illustrative works reflect his experiences and his views on modern world. His firm artistic choices, transcribe vividly his emotions.
The guide line of his work revolves around the capitalist world. He constantly poses questions about ongoing issues, and how to lead a better life, as well as questions about topics such as success and happiness, which he translates thoughough his work.
